Inula grandiflora

Inula grandiflora in Valley of Flowers

Inula grandiflora is a stout and hairy perennial of height 50 cm to 1 m tall. Its roots are aromatic. Flower heads are golden yellow. Ray florets may up to 3 cm long and disc florets are yellow.

The specific name grandiflora means grand looking flower.

You can find Inula Grandiflora right from the entrance of Valley of Flowers. You will find its colonies near the entry gate and in the dense forest 200 m. from the entry gate. This flower is very common in first 2 kilometers from the entry gate.
