Anemone vitifolia is a white pubescent, robust perennial growing up to 1 m tall. Basal leaves are simple or heart shaped. Flowers are white occasionally tinged with blue. Flower buds are white woolly. Sepals are 5-8 in number, broadly ovate, purplish and silky outside. Ripened achenes densely covered with white woolly hairs.

Uses
Roots and leaves are used for the treatment of ringworm infection and eczema in folk medicine of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Fresh roots are used in treating rheumatism, toothache, dysentery, scabies and also to treat lice.
