Codonopsis rotundifolia which is also called Rounleaf Bellflower is a perennial vine with hairless stem. Rotundifolia means round leaf flowers. Flowers are greenish white, wide-bell shaped and veined with purple. Sepals are elliptic and leaf-like, margins are toothed. Stalks of the Flowers goes up to 6 cm with hairs or hairless. Leaves are oval or broadly ovate or they can be a slight heart shaped. Bellflowers are found in Himalayas at an altitude of 1800-3600 meters
