Gymnadenia orchidis is a robust and terrestrial orchid of height 20-70 cm. It has many slender tuberous roots having elongated lobes. Leaves are elliptic, acute at apex. Flowers are fragrant, purplish or pale pink or rose violet. Lateral sepals are spreading.
