Parnassia nubicola is a perennial herb. Basal leaves are 8 in number. Flowering scape single. Flowers are white, solitary and sepals with short tubes. The specific name Nubicola refers to habitat of this species which occurs in mountains. The genetic name is named after the Mount Parnassus of Greece.
