Explore the Stunning Beauty of Laxman Ganga River
The trek to Ghangaria along the Laxman Ganga river is simply awesome. The milky water of the Laxman Ganga river attracts all visitors, making it an unforgettable experience. Additionally, trekking to the valley from Ghangaria is considered one of the best treks in India.
The tour starts with pick-up from Haridwar and a 9-11 hour drive to Govindghat, with stops at Rishikesh, Dev Prayag, Rudraprayag, and Joshimath. Check-in at the hotel in Govindghat and have dinner.
After breakfast, take a 3 km vehicle ride to Pulna village and start a 10 km trek to Ghangaria, which takes 5-7 hours. The trek is moderate and full of natural beauty. Check-in at the hotel/camp in Ghangaria for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, trek to the world heritage site of Valley of Flowers with packed lunch. Obtain an entry pass at the checkpoint and cross the old bridge on the Pushpawati river. Trek for 2 km and enter the U-shaped valley, then trek for 1 km to see more than 500 species of flowers. Return by trekking down to Ghangaria before 4 PM for dinner and overnight stay.
On this day, we have two options to choose from for our trekking experience: Option 1: Deeper parts of the Valley
After breakfast at the hotel, we will trek to the valley to explore its deepest parts. Spend the entire day witnessing the hidden beauty and rare species of flowers while surrounded by nature. Return to the hotel in the evening before 5 PM for dinner and overnight stay. Option 2: Hemkunt Sahib Trek
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start the trek to Hemkunt Sahib, a Gurudwara located at the world’s highest altitude. The trek is approximately 6 kilometers one way from Ghangaria to Hemkunt Sahib. Although the trek to Hemkunt Sahib is slightly steeper than the Valley of Flowers trek, the destination is not only divine but also scenic. If preferred, pony and palki are available for Hemkunt Sahib at an additional cost. Take a holy dip at the Kund and enjoy Bhandara before returning to the hotel in Ghangaria for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and trek down to Pulna Village (10 km trek/5-6 hrs). Pick-up from Pulna Village and transfer by road to Auli. Enjoy magnificent views of Nanda Devi peaks, then back to the hotel in Joshimath for dinner and overnight stay.
