About Roseroot
Rhodiola heterodonta is an erect perennial herb of 25 to 60 cm height. Stem leaves are toothed along the margins. Flowers are purplish and rose colored. The specific name Heterodonta means variably toothed.

Habitat
Hill slopes, rock crevices and meadows.
What the name means
Rhodiola is a diminutive of Greek rhodon (rose), after the rose-scented root; heterodonta means "with different teeth" (variable leaf margins).
Don't confuse it with
Rhodiola imbricata (sno 93) has tightly overlapping leaves; R. heterodonta has more variable leaf teeth.
