Potentilla rigida is a shrub of height 50-90 cm. It has woody rootstocks. Branches are woody, spreading, prostrate. Leaves are 3-foliolate. Flowers are bright yellow in color. Flowers are solitary, axillary and terminal.
The specific name Rigida means stiff leaves.
