Thalictrum cultratum is a hairless perennial herb with branching stem growing up to 1 m. Leaves are pinnate. Flowers are greenish white tinged with purple. Sepals are falling early. Stamens are many with purple thread like filaments.
The specific name Cultratum means knife blade like.
